Hello! Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I am currently seeking a full-time paid position that would allow me to showcase my writing, communication and public speaking skills and would provide me with the opportunity to engage with members of the community. I would love the opportunity to work with and represent low-income families, children, persons with disabilities and minorities. I am passionate about social change and creating an equal opportunity environment for all members of society.
I am currently a senior majoring in public relations with a minor in political science at Iowa State University and am planning to graduate in August 2017. Currently, I am active in my chapter of Alpha Phi on campus. Serving as the assistant Panhellenic Delegate from December 2014 to December 2015 and the Panhellenic Delegate/ Executive Committee from December 2015 to June 2016, I have represented my sorority during weekly Collegiate Panhellenic Council (CPC) meetings. I speak on the chapters behalf and vote on bylaws applied to the entire Panhellenic community at Iowa State.
This past summer (2016), I worked as a full-time paid intern on the campaign "No On Amendment 69" as a communications and outreach intern in Denver, Colorado. I managed and wrote for theFacebook page, researched current articles to publish, managed and wrote for the Twitter page and was the director of "Supporter Spotlights," which appeared in the weekly email newsletter and featured a member of the Colorado community that would be impacted by Amendment 69.
